If either enableNat() or startInterfaceForwarding() fail, be sure
to cleanup any commands that might have succeeded.
Most of this change is a refactoring of cleanupUpstreamIface() into
two methods, one of which (cleanupUpstreamInterface()) is reused
in error handling scenarios.
