The NullPointerException in getCallState is caused by the restarting of phone process. getITelephony() was not ready to be used at that moment.

the index is always < the array's length. Also ensures that the object's
state is consistent. Should resolve a denial-of-service bug when handling
malformed WAP pushes.
DateUtils.formatDateRange is using String.format which isn't efficient for
formatting large number of strings. I have added the Formatter parameter which
allows the caller to reuse the formatter of subsequent calls for faster
performance.

Longpressing on a WebView while the WebTextView is up calls
WebTextView::performLongPress(). This used to be fine, but now
we may still leave the WebTextView up while the user is longpressing
on something else. Check to ensure that the focus is the same
as the cursor before calling WebTextView's version. Also,
send a click if the user longpresses on a different WebTextView,
so it will now behave appropriately. Requires a change in
external/webkit.
Also remove a duplicate check for inEditingMode().
When the WebView loses WindowFocus, we stop drawing the
selection. We need to resume drawing it, especially for
the context menu, which steals WindowFocus. Corresponds
to a change in Webkit.

We were accidentally submitting a deletion for the global metadata key in the
PM backup handling (it was falling into the usual "here's a package that we said
we'd backed up last time, but now it's no longer on device" code). Don't do
that any more, i.e. actually keep the global metadata key in the backup set.

DrawableContainerState.mDrawables is an array which may be only partially
filled, as can be seen in the constructor and the addChild() method.
DrawableContainer.mutate() wrongly assumed that the array does not contain
null references.
we can't use a texture of 1/4th of the screen for the dim layer, because the mdp internal input resultion is alwyas integers and for very small blits of a couple pixels the scale factor can get way out of range, for instance for a 7 pixels source, the scale factor would be either 7 (7/1) or 3.5 (7/2) instead of 4 (7/1.75). This caused the mdp to fail in some cases and revert to software. we now always use a texture of the actual screen size, so the problem will never happen. This burns 300KB of pmem instead of 21KB. On devices with a larger screen we might want to use a smaller texture and tile it by hand.
